How to prevent my skype chat history from being deleted?
Q. We share pc's in my office. I'm using skype to chat with my friends, and would like to keep my chat history. Sometimes I found that my chat history were deleted by someone else. Usually i like to keep the chat history for 2 weeks. Is there a way that I can save or backup my chat's without being visible to others? I don't know how to disable my chat options.Please help.Thank you.

A. To find it: 1. Click on the friend in the main scrapboy window you chatted with 2. Make sure the Scrapboy window is in chat mode (as opposed to wall or photo mode). 3. Q. My computer gave up and I was able to backup the yahoo folder from the program files folder of my previous computer. They say it's in the C\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\Pr ofiles but unfortunately I can't see the Profiles folder. In the Preference in the Archive of yahoo messenger is "Yes, save all of my messages. How can I get my chat history in the Yahoo folder that I backed up from Program Files of my previous computer?

A. Unfortunately, the only thing you can do is wipe the hard drive with a commercially available software designed for the purpose. I'd just go ahead and do so myself. It's their computer, but it's your data. The downside is it will also wipe all of the company data from that drive. But hey, you're leaving anyway! They might not notice or they might try to prosecute you. But then, how will they know what you did? The computer will work like new but have no files whatsoever in it except the OS and functions need to support it. All personal data will be gone forever and not retrievable.

A. you'll have to specify what messenger you're using, but here's some of the most common IM applications... Live/MSN: Chat history is saved in your documents folder. Open the "my received files" folder in your documents and look for a folder that has your display name on it. Open that and there should be a history folder. This is what has all your conversation history. simply delete the files inside of this folder and it's gone. Yahoo: Saves files in the program files folder. Open the "yahoo" folder followed by the "messenger!" folder. open the "profiles" folder, then double click the folder with your Yahoo ID on it.
